Review locations

Welcome to my review repository page! I've posted the more utilized spaces for book reviews, which I hope helps you with your next read. Even lower-rated books may have something to offer.

GoodReads (GR)

GR is my primary repository for book reviews since I've returned to reviewing. I find the interface friendly enough and the site purpose to fit my needs. Not a fan of the snarky/mean reviews I've observed there. Unsure why readers feel the need to write such things.

OnlineBookClub (OCB)

I came across the site years ago when I started specializing into creative writing as a Freelancer. The site owner supported indie authors leveraging forums. The Review team had a few conditions to satisfy if they wanted to start earning for their reviews. It wouldn't be grand amounts. I once received $20 for a 1000 page novel.

Since the reviews were posted on forums, there was more engagement. On re-visiting my review profile, it's neat to see which reviews garnered the most responses (it was Debt Cleanse by Jorge P. Newbery at 542) over the years.

Instagram

I use Insta to amplify the reviews I've written on GoodReads (so far). I was on Threads too, but they wanted bio data, which I refused to hand over. Since I'm not a graphic designer nor good with visuals, I use Insta to practice and refine those skills. Canva is so helpful in that regard, as are their templates. I hope creators continue to publish their templates for use :)
